把债务丢给儿子是不符合法律要求的，只有在继承人继承遗产并承诺担负债务之后才能这样，如果无人愿意承担偿还债务的责任的话，债权人可以要求法院先用遗产还债，剩下的遗产才能分配，如果遗产不足以清偿债务，债权人只能自认倒霉，不能要求死者近亲属继续偿还。所谓父债子还只是民间习惯，没有法律依据。
